StartCon Terms and Conditions of Sale


The following are the rules or terms that govern the use of StartCon tickets on the StartCon website found at (“Site”). StartCon reserve the right to change these terms at any time, effective immediately upon posting on the Site, without notice to you. Please check this page on the site periodically. If you violate these terms then StartCon may terminate your use of the Site, block you from future use of the Site, cancel your ticket order and/or take appropriate legal action against you when deemed necessary.

Digital Pass Access

A Digital Pass purchase is valid for one (1) user for one (1) year from the date of purchase. A Digital Pass ticket gives the user streaming access to all recorded content from StartCon events. StartCon will upload recorded content from conferences and events to the Digital Pass at the discretion of its organisers. The content provided may be exclusive or non-exclusive to the Digital Pass. The content must be consumed online by logging in to, and access may not be shared by multiple users. StartCon has the right to revoke access to any user found violating these terms.


StartCon will only offer a refund if the StartCon event if unreasonably rescheduled or cancelled, or to the extent otherwise required by law. StartCon will not offer a refund if you change your mind or for any other personal circumstances. If StartCon is cancelled, rescheduled, relocated or to any other extent required by law, all liability is limited to the amount for which the StartCon ticket was purchased (including any fees or charges). Proof of purchase will be required for any refund. Unless required by law, StartCon will not be liable for any other losses incurred by you as a result of StartCon being cancelled, rescheduled or relocated, including any travel and accommodation expenses.

Conditions of entry

You will still be able to attend StartCon if you arrive late but you may be denied entry into, or removed from StartCon where StartCon has reasonable grounds to do so, such as if you are intoxicated or under the influence of illicit drugs. Further, if you are inappropriately attired or adversely affect the enjoyment of other attendees of StartCon.

Collection and delivery of tickets

Tickets are only valid if they are purchased through the Site. You must allow adequate time for registration and collection of badges on the day of the event. Where concessions are applicable, suitable and valid identification must be provided at registration at the event. Tickets are valid for the ticket holder only. Name changes on tickets are allowable up to 48 hours prior the start of the event. You must contact to request a name change on a ticket.

Pricing and Payment

All conference ticket prices are quoted in Australian dollars and include Federal Sales Tax. Your ticket confirmation email is a tax invoice. Live stream and digital pass ticket prices are quoted in USD or AUD and include Federal Sales Tax where applicable. Your ticket confirmation email is a tax invoice. Bookings are subject to availability.

Lost or Stolen tickets

Where tickets are lost, stolen, misplaced or destroyed, StartCon may charge an administrative fee to issue a replacement and may require proof of identity and purchase, prior to to issuing you a replacement. In the event that someone duplicates your StartCon ticket, StartCon reserves the right to request proof of identity and/or proof of purchase. Unauthorised duplicate ticket holders will be refused entry to StartCon.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by New South Wales and federal law, StartCon is not liable for any loss, damages, injury, delays, additional expenses or inconvenience arising as a result of your attendance or non-attendance at StartCon. Where liability cannot be excluded or modified by law, the liability of StartCon is limited to the minimum permitted by law.


You enter StartCon at your own risk and understand that attendance at StartCon could include risk of injury or damage to property. By attending StartCon you accept the risk of damage and loss (including property damage, personal injury, consequential and economic loss) however so arising.
